My name is Arjun, and I am a research scholar at Jawaharlal Nehru University( JNU) in New Delhi. I am a first-generation university attendant. My research work revolves around "studying structural violence in Urban Slums; I am employing psychoanalytical conceptual machinery to understand Caste, Symbolic Violence, Aggression and Hatered, Intersectionality, Slums, Patriarchy etc. Though I am not trained in Psychoanalysis, I have been reading Lacanian and Freudian psychoanalysis for some years. Exposing myself to Platforms like APS, I wish to deepen my understanding of Psychoanalytic concepts in order to understand the functioning of caste and its mechanisms.
