Lindsey Nicholls
Bio :
Dr Lindsey Nicholls has recently retired from full time work at the University of Essex. She has worked at universities and clinical departments in London, UK and Cape Town, South Africa. Her doctoral work explored a psychoanalytic understanding of care through the lived experiences of occupational therapists and their clients. She has published work on the use of psychoanalytic theory in research methods (reflexivity) and co-authored a book on psychoanalytic thinking in occupational therapy. She has contributed to lectures at the Tavistock Clinic on psychoanalytic theory in understanding racism and she currently supervises PhD students in the broad area of psychosocial studies.
